NAEA is dedicated to advancing the enrolled agent profession through advocacy, promotion and support of its members.

Goal Area:  Financial Security

NAEA will be financially sound and will maintain adequate reserves.

Strategic Objectives:

  • Increase reserves.
  • Maintain the cost-benefit analysis of NAEA products and services.
  • Increase non-dues revenue.
  • Align association staff and financial resources to support the strategic plan

Goal Area:  Recognition of Enrolled Agents

The public understand the credential and values the services of Enrolled Agents.

Strategic Objectives

  • Expand the public’s recognition of the enrolled agent license.
  • Increase the enrolled agent’s position as the tax professional of choice.
  • Increase the enrolled agent’s ability to better serve their clients.
  • Increase the number of enrolled agents.

Goal Area:  Advocacy

NAEA is recognized as the voice of Enrolled Agents and an advocate for taxpayers.

Strategic Objectives:

  • Improve administration of the Special Enrollment Exam (SEE).
  • Support federal licensure of paid preparers.
  • Increase NAEA’s presence before governmental bodies.
  • Increase NAEA’s effectiveness in advocating for the value of the license.

Goal Area: Member Services

NAEA provides meaningful benefits and excellent customer service to maximize its value to members.

Strategic Objectives:

  • Improve customer service to members.
  • Continually evaluate member benefits to maximize the value of membership.
  • Establish a cost-effective and resource-efficient tax research service for members.
  • Increase number of members.
