Enrolled Agents Honored with National Awards

Baltimore, MD—August 30, 2007— The National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) honored individuals this week who have given their time, talents, and skills to serve the public, enrolled agents, and the NAEA during the past year.  The award winners are as follows:

Faye Touchet, EA – of Lafayette, LA, is the recipient of the Enrolled Agent Mentor Award, recognizing her significant contribution to the growth of the enrolled agent profession in general and the growth of the membership of NAEA in particular;

Bryan Gates, EA, and Jean Gates, EA – of Clearwater, FL, are recipients of the Excellence in Education Award, recognizing their significant contributions to the quality and scope of the NAEA education and development programs;

Lynn Schmidt, EA – of Winter Haven, FL, is the recipient of the Excellence in Public Awareness Award, recognizing her significant contributions by making “Enrolled Agent” and “EA” more readily recognized nationally, regionally, or locally as the tax professional of choice;

Jeffery Trinca – of Washington, DC, is recipient of the Outstanding Supporter of Enrolled Agents Award, recognizing his significant contribution as an individual who is not an enrolled agent on making “Enrolled Agent” and “EA” more readily recognized nationally, regionally, or locally as the tax professional of choice;

William Matesevac, EA – of Delmont, PA, is the recipient of the Outstanding Volunteer Award, which recognizes his service to NAEA, its affiliates, and/or a local chapter.

Each of the recipients has given extensive time and effort into promoting the enrolled agent profession.  The members of the association congratulate these individuals who have established their commitment to enrolled agents and to the NAEA.
