Membership

NAEA provides the networking, educational opportunities, programs and services to help enrolled agents and other tax preparers be successful.  For enrolled agents providing the highest level of representation  for their clients  or preparers thinking of advancing their career by becoming enrolled agents, membership in NAEA is a basic building block for success.

Joining NAEA opens the door to many unique benefits, as our members testify. NAEA is committed to providing our members with the tools to achieve success amongst industry leaders, delivered in a format which enables that achievement. Our up-to-the-minute press releases, continuing  education (CE) programs, tax research service, extensive interactive online community, and comprehensive Member Resources provide value which empowers our members to in turn provide superior services and grow their own taxpayer client base.

In addition to these resources, NAEA membership offers many advantages:

Public Awareness – Our top  goal is public education on the advantages of hiring an EA. Our commitment to spreading the word from traditional print to broadcast media to online social forums has effectively enhanced public awareness of EAs’ potential value to taxpayers.

Advocacy – NAEA works on behalf of enrolled agents to protect the EA license and to expand our influence at IRS and on Capitol Hill.  Through NAEA’s efforts, enrolled agents have a seat at the table for discussions that are important to them and their clients.

Our work and successes are shared through the EA Journal and E@lert on a regular basis.  Review our Congressional testimony and formal statements to IRS, participate in our grassroots advocacy through the government relations fly-in day and other efforts, including the NAEA PAC. Enrolled agents have the power to influence tax policy and tax administration through membership at NAEA.

The NAEA National Conference – Anchored by  the National Tax Practice Institute™ (NTPI©) this is the country’s only annual educational event designed specifically for Circular 230 practitioners seeking to specialize in client representation before the IRS.

In addition to the in-person SEE Review track at the NAEA National Conference, NAEA offers a moderated online SEE Prep Course for additional support and structure.
