Whether you prefer an interactive online format or an in-person stage, there’s a platform for your ideas. NAEA offers multiple ways for tax professionals to share their expertise and connect with learners:
Live Webinars
Deliver a one- to two-hour session that dives into timely tax and practice management topics. Webinars are highly interactive, offering opportunities for Q&A, case studies, and real-world application. They’re a flexible way to reach members nationwide without leaving your office.
Certificate Programs
Take learners deeper with multi-part training series that build mastery in specific topics over multiple days. Certificate programs are designed for progressive learning, guiding attendees through complex areas of tax practice with structured lessons, resources, and assessments that culminate in a credential.
Tax Talk Today
Step into the spotlight of a broadcast program dedicated to current issues in action. This format mirrors a news-style panel or interview, where you share insights alongside other experts and help break down the latest tax challenges as they unfold. With its wide reach, Tax Talk Today positions you as a thought leader in the profession.
NAEA Tax Summit 2026
Our premier in-person event, taking place July 27–29 in New Orleans. Tax Summit brings together hundreds of enrolled agents, tax professionals, speakers, and industry partners for three days of education, networking, and inspiration. Speaking here means presenting on a national stage—whether through educational breakout sessions, workshops, or panels—and contributing to the most anticipated gathering of tax professionals each year.
What We’re Looking For
We invite proposals that bring clarity to complexity, spark new ideas, and give practitioners practical tools they can put into action. Areas of interest include, but aren’t limited to, the following:
IRS Representation & Compliance
Help members sharpen their skills in working with the IRS, from understanding letters and notices to navigating Practitioner Priority Service (PPS). Sessions could also cover statutes of limitations, assignment of income, and practical approaches to client communications.
Federal Tax Law Updates
Timely updates are always in demand. We’re interested in sessions that make sense of new or evolving rules such as 1099-K reporting (gains/losses on sales like season tickets), ACA requirements, QBID, or the latest changes affecting small business and partnerships.
Specialized & Niche Topics
Deep dives into complex or less commonly taught issues are valuable to our members. Potential examples include:
-
- Partnership unreimbursed expenses and K-1 integration
- Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs)
- Clergy taxation and taxes for missionaries
- LLCs—structuring, selling, and common pitfalls
- Mixed-use rentals, home office sales, and community property considerations
Business & Practice Management
Tax professionals want tools for building stronger, smarter practices. Topics like accounting for non-accountants (“Locating Basis and Finding Client Errors”), using research/AI tools, related party transactions, business valuations, and strategies for managing small business forms (1120, 1065) are especially relevant.
