Washington, D.C., May 22, 2017 — The National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), the organization that represents more than 56,000 federally-licensed tax practitioners, has announced the installation of its 2017-2018 board of directors. The board members are: President James Adelman, EA, of Tulsa, OK; Secretary Angela Radic, EA, of Gahanna, OH; Treasurer Timothy Dilworth, EA, CPA, of Kalispell and Flathead Valley, MT; Director Michael Fioritto, EA, CPA, of Oregon, OH; Director Jerry Gaddis, EA, of Key Largo, FL; Director Chris Hardy, EA, of Suwanee, GA; Director Patricia Kappen, EA, of San Juan Capistrano, CA; Director Melissa Longmuir, EA, of Bellevue, WA; Director Twila Midwood, EA, of Rockledge, FL; Director Joyce Mohr, EA, of Rockport, ME; President-Elect Jean Nelsen, EA, of San Francisco, CA; Immediate Past President Richard Reedman, EA, USTCP, of Raleigh, NC; Director Don Rosenberg, EA, of Yorktown Heights, NY; and Director Jeffrey Schneider, EA, of Port St. Lucie, FL.

“Like those before them, this incoming board is dedicated to promoting the enrolled agent profession and protecting the American taxpayer,” said NAEA Executive Vice President Cedric Calhoun, CAE, FASAE. “It is our long-held position that tax reform and IRS modernization efforts are extremely important and hold the promise of improving tax compliance while saving taxpayers time and money. As one of the IRS’ most significant stakeholders, enrolled agents are committed to being part of the solution and our board is fully equipped to meet the challenge.”

The board members met May 17-19 in Washington, DC, for the NAEA Board of Directors meeting and state affiliate leadership meetings, as well as the Fly-In Day, where approximately 90 members from around the country travelled to Capitol Hill to meet with their elected officials in Congress to advocate for sound tax policy and tax administration. Highlights from these May meetings included an address from U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (D-AL) from the House Committee on Ways and Means and the 2017-2018 board’s swearing-in by NAEA Executive Vice President Cedric Calhoun.
