1.Create a Login or Login to your existing Account - If you do not already have an account you will be prompted to create an account, otherwise you can login to your existing account. If creating a new account, some basic information will be captured about you and can be updated through our online portal at a later time.
2.Select your National membership and a State Affiliate membership.
*NAEA's bylaws require enrolled agents to be a member of both NAEA as well as the State Society in which they live or work. If you would like to join a state affiliate, in addition to your home state, please contact the Membership Department.
3. Submit Payment through our secure checkout process. Shortly after submitting payment you will receive an e-mail confirmation of your payment, then a separate welcome email.

Associate - non enrolled agents who are engaged in some aspect of tax
Academic Associate - students or instructors in an accredited college or professional school in a tax, accounting or finance program. Documentation required.
Emeritus - Enrolled agents who are on inactive/retired status with IRS and have been members of NAEA for the preceding five years. Please contact NAEA's Membership Department to update your membership to this category.
