NAEA President Theresa Durkin, EA submitted comments to the IRS to request for the agency to refrain from issuing final regulations on the agency’s proposed user fee increases for test takers when the agency administers the Enrolled Agent Special Enrollment Examination (EA-SEE). NAEA submitted the comment letter in response to a March 21 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request response letter returned from IRS after NAEA submitted the FOIA request to IRS on February 23 to request a cost analysis justification for the proposed user fee increase from $11 to $99 for each part of the SEE.
