National Association of Enrolled Agents Welcomes Megan Killian
Top Association Executive to Lead Organization of Tax Experts

Washington, DC (January 6, 2021) — The Board of Directors of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan M. Killian, CAE as its Executive Vice President. As the chief of staff, Killian will bring over 17 years of experience in executive leadership, change management and strategic development in a membership organization of financial services professionals. She will take office on January 11, 2021.

“Over the past few years, NAEA has successfully focused on financial stability and strengthening its technology infrastructure. This progress, combined with Meg’s experience in building membership and high performing teams, will produce amazing results,” said NAEA Board President Don Rosenberg, EA. “Her leadership is precisely what we need to take us to the next level.”

Killian most recently served as Vice President, Member Relations at the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), where she led the member relations and foundation teams and oversaw the creation of events, benefits, and programs for more than 22,000 members and student affiliates. She was the staff leader for the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Advisory Board for PICPA’s Foundation and also served on its internal D&I committee.

“NAEA is poised for growth and I am committed to continuing its momentum,” said Killian. “After many years working with CPAs, I’m looking forward to collaborating with the tax experts of NAEA to strengthen the organization and the EA brand.”

Killian holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA, and completed the Women’s Executive Leadership Program of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Executive Education. Since 2010, she has held the Certified Association Executive credential (CAE) awarded by the American Society of Association Executives and in 2013 earned the IOM credential from the Institute for Organizational Management program administered by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
