Be a Champion for Enrolled Agents Everywhere
The National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) is fighting to protect your livelihood and defend your right as an enrolled agent to provide services to U.S. taxpayers wherever they may be located, within or outside the United States. Recent efforts to cripple EA practice rights in Nevada and New York failed. Now, Minnesota has passed Statute 332B, which requires enrolled agents who provide debt settlement services to pay costly and burdensome state registration fees and to disclose detailed taxpayer information to the Minnesota Department of Commerce.
This cannot be allowed to stand. Enrolled agents are licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The enrolled agent credential is a federal credential, not a state credential subject to the whims of state legislatures.
NAEA and the Minnesota Society of Enrolled Agents need your support. Partner with us today to protect and defend the nationwide scope of enrolled agents’ practice rights. If the Minnesota Debt Settlement Services Statute 332B is not overturned, we will see similar laws passed in multiple states.
