Membership Options

(Open to new enrolled agents only)

Fees and eligibility:

  • $100 discount off first year of membership for individuals who have passed the Special Enrollment Exam

To qualify, applicants must submit documentation showing that you passed the Special Enrollment Exam (SEE) within the last 12 months. This should be one of the following:

  • Enrolled Agent License
  • Enrolled Agent Certificate
  • Prometric Score Reports for all three parts of the Special Enrollment Exam

Fees and eligibility:
  • $65 annual fee
  • Emeritus status is for individuals who have fully retired from practice.
  • You must have already indicated to the IRS on Renewal Form 8554 that you desire “inactive retirement status.”
  • You must be a regular member in good standing with an active membership for at least one year in order to apply for Emeritus membership

Instructions: Email membership@naea.org with a PDF copy of your letter from the IRS confirming your inactive agent status.

Eligibility:

For Students or instructors in an accredited college or professional school in a tax, accounting, or finance program applying for a complimentary Academic Associate Membership, please provide one of the following:

  • Copy of your Class Schedule
  • Copy of your Transcripts
  • A letter from your Dean as proof of eligibility

*Individuals defined by IRS Circular 230 (i.e. EAs, CPAs, CFPs, etc.) are not eligible for this membership type.
