Fees and eligibility:
  • $100 discount off first year of membership for individuals who have passed the Special Enrollment Exam
  • $10 NAEA application fee
  • $18 state affiliate initiation fee for new members

New EAs who have earned their license within the last 12 months are eligible for a $100 discount off their first year of Regular Membership with NAEA.

Required Documentations: Must submit copies of letters stating you passed each of the three parts or a copy of your enrolled agent (EA) certificate or a copy of your EA license.

Fees and eligibility:
  • $66.25 annual fee
  • Emeritus status is for individuals who have fully retired from practice.
  • You must have already indicated to the IRS on Renewal Form 8554 that you desire “inactive retirement status.”

Instructions: Email membership@naea.org with a PDF copy of your letter from the IRS confirming your inactive agent status.

Eligibility:
  • Documentation required: include a copy of your class schedule, transcript, or a letter from your dean as proof of eligibility.
  • Students or instructors in an accredited college or professional school in a tax, accounting, or finance program qualify for a complimentary 2-year membership in NAEA. Documentation required.

Individuals who are defined by Circular 230 are not eligible for this membership type.
